Sorry to intrude on your forum. Just thought I'd let you know that a film I produced about the death of Terry Coles will be shown tomorrow night, on the BBC in Yorkshire. Mr Coles died after being struck by a police horse at a match at Rotherham United in May, 2000.
If you have access to satellite TV, you can watch it on channels 956 or 957. (BBC One Yorkshire/Yorkshire and Lincs. There may be other coverage on BBC online.

Thanks for that. My neighbour was at that game, and was involved in a brawl with Rotherham fans in that alley at the side of the ground next to the scrapyards. Was pretty ugly day all round, from what I've heard.
Am living in Yorkshire so I'll definitely be watching it.

Just watched it and his wife and daughter can be proud of how they handled themselves, with restraint and dignity.
To learn that the CCTV of the events were not shown is outrageous

Finished watching the programme. Was there with Mrs MJ that day and went down the infamous lane shortly after TC had been injured.
Shocking admissions in there I didn't know about before.
The main witness, a Swans fan, wasn't called at the inquiry and his statement was read out by someone else (no doubt to avoid him saying anything awkward...)
The CCTV footage wasn't shown at the inquiry!!
What shocked me too was the Senior Police Officer quizzed on the court steps after the inquiry saying in response to a tv reporter- yes, I'd send horses down that lane again if the circumstances arose!!!
And then TC's wife being told by the Chief Super at the conclusion of the inquiry that they (the South Yorks police) wouldn't be gloating about the verdict!!!
TC's widow an daughter did themselves proud in the programme. Dignified throughout. How I would have been I've no idea. Credit to them.

It's not as easy as demanding it, because it's been through the courts and we haven't actually opened the case again we can only do as we are doing now , asking for them to provide us with everything we have asked for! Of course the CCTV footage is the most crucial thing we want but they aren't going to willingly pass it over without a fuss unfortunately!
