Best part is Sky have just been replaying the equaliser (ironically from Stones) without realising that it had been ruled out

Aguero offside, before Stones netted, Aguero deemed to have interfered by jumping for the ball even though he missed it, but he went for the ball so that's interfering, unluckily for Mr Stones

Stones, Barclay, Wilshere, the list is endless of England's bright young things who are nothing more than very average. And they wonder why they are shit !

To much pressure placed on them in the media and then them believing they've made it, that's then not helped by the ridiculous fees that clubs are happy to pay for them, leave them alone and let them grow at their own pace with just a hint of the occasional push in the right direction, it won't happen though and that's one of the many things that's wrong with the game.

The media decide who the good players are when they turn 18 and stick to their guns from then on.

Most of the great English talents peak as teenagers.

Dangerously over exposed as youngsters. Played to death and hyped way beyond their ability. Washed up by 28.

Southampton are a very good side. You have to admire them; they regenerate better than Dr Who.

The worrying thing was someone said to me yesterday that Mawson could be better than Stones. By god I hope so.

Swansea City, THE Austerity Club.

You mark my words, John Stones will become one of the best defenders in Europe. He's still young and a little green but he's all the attributes t becme a truly great defender.Wilshere, Barkley, Oxlade Chamberlain, Luke Shaw aren't fit to lace his boots. You heard it here first.

Yeah I think he's a very good player. Just been praised too much too early, and that may hamper his progress significantly, but I expect him to come good. Shaw too, to be honest, if he can get over his injuries.

Alongside a decent youth policy they went a and signed Chalire Austin for 4 mill an absolute no brainer, then Redmond who has been fantastic for them. This is what happens when a club in the premier league targets the obvious and doesn't rely on agents and a very questionable policy of signing players.

Exactly. And the 2 players we were after as well to rub salt into the wound. Some consolation for us is I think Barrow could be as good as Mane who they signed under the radar and Mawson as good as Fonte but maybe not van Dijk.So we can still spot a player it seems, maybe not in the calibre of Sothampton but we're still capable.

Oh absolutely. If we can now employ a good scout for Bradley to scour the continent for an attacking midfielder and a DM we could survive if added in January.

£4m for Austin just sounds crazy now.
