Somebody - who clearly didn't know me very well - bought me Tooze's hooligan memoir as a Christmas present about ten years ago. I managed to mock & sneer my way through it to the end. From my limited knowledge of some of the events described, it seemed reasonably accurate, but it was clearly mostly ghost-written by some cockney tw@t who is thick enough to think that Swans fans go round spouting about "top lads", "main faces", "geezers", "old bill", "tear ups" etc.
Tiresome & irritating.

I don't know something doesn't seem right about this report..toozeys armed with a baseball bat, one of the passengers sounds in a right state..yet they disarmed him, and kicked the shi* out of him.. No mention of any injuries received from the cab driver hitting them with the bat..?
