Amazingly, we're still not cut adrift, although we might be by the end of the month.
As a natural optimist, I keep thinking things will improve...but....
* We have little quality.
* Confidence is shot.
* Today a 50/50 decision went against us (Ki pen/dive).
* Lady luck had a laugh with 2 deflected goals, just to rub it in.
I'll probably keep thinking we can "do a Leicester style revival" until its mathematically impossible to do so.

SHITFEST!

I know they're beatable but you've been a swans fan long enough to know what follows a great result.

I know exactly what your saying but we owe Southampton. I can't remember the last time I watched us beat them. I'll be a cold Tuesday night with hopefully a bit more belief in the stands.

Take it one game at a time and try to do a number on every team you play. F**k, that style won Leicester the league.

There we go, definitely 6 (at least) in the relegation fight.
Welcome Leicester City 😁

Are Burnley, Watford and Bournemouth clear of the relegation fight? All on 26 points and on bad runs.
We are on 18 points even after that bad dose of Bradleyitis we had.

But they are not enough of an improvement. We're replacing average players with more average players who have a better reputation at the moment. None have proven they are good enough to start for a Premier League side, or even a side in a top league.

They were enough of an improvement yesterday to make a huge impact....and at bargain prices too. 7 phucking 0 ?? 😁😝

These 4 games on the bounce will be crucial for us

Burnley H = 3
Hull A = 3
Bournemouth A = 3
Middlesborough H = 3

I do not think they were bargain prices.

They both contributed massively to the result yesterday. That second goal is one of my favourite goals I've seen us score.

The next game is huge for us. Not only did Southampton play today but they have two more games before our match in 8 days time!

Already feeling the nerves but for the first time in a while its because I believe we can do this.

The club has been criticised for not splashing the cash & instead going for "mediocre £5M players" like Carroll & Olsen. Even though the fees were "undisclosed", its a reasonable assumption that each cost around £5M. Based on current transfer fees and the quality shown yesterday by both (not to mention spirit, fight, endeavour & enthusiasm's) I'd call approx £10M for the two a good bargain.

If they play a fair part in us staying up then they will prove to be very good purchases indeed. I still think they are not of the same level of ability as other players we have had in those positions in this league, but Olsson will very likely be an improvement on Taylor and Kingsley. Carroll will hopefully be an improvement on Cork too.

Hull played with a lot of endeavour against Chelsea but in the end were well beaten, probably a good bet to be in the relegation places. No Snodgrass,on his way perhaps.

We have 8 to 9 winnable games left to play and I'm assuming defeat against the big teams.

That's 31 points on top of the current 15 = 49 points.

Liverpool A = 0
Southampton H = 3
Man City A = 0
Leicester H = 3
Chelsea A = 0
Burnley H = 3
Hull A = 3
Bournemouth A = 3
Middlesborough H = 3
Tottenham H = 0
West Ham A = 3
Watford A = 3
Stoke H = 3
Man Utd A = 0
Everton H = 1
Sunderland A = 3
WBA H = 3

You're doing well on the predictions. I'd be more than happy with a point away at Hull - they're a tidy side now (always have been at home). Today and the next 2 home games are the ones to define our season imo. 1 down 2 to go. The points are vital, but just as important decent home performances will give us the confidence to nick the odd surprise result against better teams.

Yes Hull have upped their game though watching them at Old Trafford and they defended v deep with 4-5-1
They will have to start looking for wins soon instead of draws but like you said I'd take a point there now.

Bournemouth are on a terrible run and we should look for 3 points there, they will be back in the mix soon. Their season has crashed since Ake went back to Chelsea.

I predict 12 but would take 10 points in total.
