Watching illegal TV in South West Wales on 13:35 - Jan 17 with 1820 views | Naughty71 | The artical mentions "streaming" specifically. I thought streaming was fine, providing the stream in the first place was the illegal part. Same as downloading a film and then sharing it is illegal as you are then perpetuating the crime rather than just watching something provided by a third party. Any legal exerts on here? Just sounds like scare tactics to me and a box ticking exercise. I doubt you can be prosecuted for watching kodi. I could be proved wrong though.

"People are pointed to a 'tips and advice' web page showing them how they can go legal with their TV and film viewing." They should have a web page telling us how to set up a Tor system so we can hide our IPS. Edit : Sorry Britferry, didn't mean to quote your post [Post edited 17 Jan 2017 14:03]

Watching illegal TV in South West Wales on 14:01 - Jan 17 with 1731 views | Jack_Kass | So A letter to say watching stuff online that you didn't pay for is not legal? what a waste of paper and no doubt tax payers money. Just a scare exercise because the internet companies are under the kosh with this and have no hope of doing anything about it

I'd imagine they know exactly where the netflix data streams are and any other major legal servers. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

They have changed the wording since I first read the article. Initially it said that the letter would be sent out to people watching streams of illegal content. Now it says downloading. I must have been correct about streaming not being illegal, and it looks as if someone has either proof read it finally, or the public have contacted the SWEP to tell them that streaming is not illegal.
