Some slices of humble pie going to be eaten for tea by a few on here?

Quite. A lot of 'experts' will pipe down a bit until he has a bad game.

I will happily if he keeps playing like that. Not just him, Olsson too. I thought they were upgrades but not big enough upgrades.

Nice to see a football post from you

Considering his lack of Match Play that was quite miraculous, he must be very professional to stay that fit & sharp.

If we're nitpicking, I think Olsson did poorly for both goals. First was probably a foul though, but still think he could have been stronger. Promising signs though. Miles better than Taylor offensively.

Carroll had a stormer though. The sort of midfielder we've missed in recent times, and much better than I expected. That cross, beautiful. If he can keep that standard up it'll be an extremely important signing .. Long thought our problems have been in midfield not up front.

Seems to have added a bit of steel to his game doesn't he? Looking good and I hope for his and our sakes it all works out.

I think he's more than an Allen than a Britton but top notch today. His eergy is what we have been missing and he can pick a pass alright.

The cross he supplied to Llorente is what he's been crying out for all season. Sh*t striker my arse

There's only so many strikers you can sign who have done well elsewhere before realising the problem is elsewhere.

Give him service and he'll score. Support him and he'll hold the ball up much better. That's been our issue for too long. All goes back to ripping up our plan a and signing the wrong sorts of players.

Amen.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

The in and out runs from him and Olssen for the second was a breath of fresh air. Have t seen anything like that from our players all season. Along with the positional discipline off the ball and his obvious ball playing ability - what a cross! - the freshness is hopefully blowing through the squad. I wonder how much of this was coached i to them in a week and how much was just talent and ability?

Makelele already making an impact?

Joe_bradshaw -I thought the cryochamber was the new name for Cardiff's stadium.

The cross was difficult because he had to get to the ball before their defender and hit it first time. That's what probably gave Llorente the edge, a quick belted in cross. Magnificent execution by both players though
