I've just watched Trump on the news receiving a warm response from the US version of the Federation for Small Businesses after outlining his plan to simplify the collection process for small business tax and slash reams of legislative red-tape. This off the back of his meeting with the United Steelworkers who had described it afterward as "the most productive meeting they had ever attended."
This is a revolution in politics. He's doing exactly what he said he would.

As a businessman, he had no obligation to be altruistic. His responsibility was to make his company as successful as possible.
And due to the policies of the old administrations, that meant using foreign steel and labor was the better option. The USW should blame the politicians that made that the case.
What legislation is he cutting? Whilst SME owner always moan about regulation, real and perceived, a lot tends to be aimed at protecting workers or other things that the free market would abuse if given the chance. As usual the devil will be in the detail, and we certainly won't get a picture of that from the Trump PR machine.

He hasn't done that well in business. He inherited an empire from his father and has been extremely mediocre in running it. Don't get me wrong, he hasn't wasted it but he hasn't exactly grown it at an impressive rate either.
