...hence the reason for my "slagging off " posts.
I'm full of hiraeth for old industrial smelly Swansea
Twas grand town
I was in St David's school around the time that the old Mumbles trains were being discontinued. We were close to the terminus and saw them close up . I was also lucky enough to have ridden on them many times. Another example of old age sometimes having it's advantages. 🙄

Absolutely loved that, made me feel a little sad though. Can't believe how much industry was in the area. The crime was not getting rid of it, it was seeing it inadequately replaced.

Many thanks, Dailew. This link worked! And I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Brought back most pleasant memories of many train journeys in the U.K. over about 25 years. And quite a few memories of journeys in the States [my first when I was younger than 8 -- don't remember anymore what age it was -- to Jersey City -- very very vague and sketchy maintained by stories told to me over the years].

Thanks again.
If you liked that you may also enjoy this. Swansea's own Spencer Davies providing some of the music. I think Health and Safety would have a field day nowadays 😀

Many thanks, MS. I thoroughly enjoyed them, especially through recognizing so many scenes from my visits to Swansea -- some unchanged, others changed but still recognizable.
The Blitz video was to me, a lifelong student of World War II, very moving, particularly because I know your beautiful city from the near present.

I also went to St Davids school. Lived opposite the train station
