Everton in for Siggy in the summer 11:59 - Mar 11 with 1887 viewsDafyddHuw

for £25M-£30M apparently.

It's only the Express mind, but nevertheless, the will be clubs after him in the close season after the season he's had (and he kept us up last year).

Assuming we stay up, it'll be interesting to see which way the club jumps.
I say fùck profit, we need to stop selling our best players just because we make money on the deal.
PC need to build a team around our "spine" - Fab, Mawson, Siggy Llorente - and have a bit of ambition for a change.

We've already turned down £30m from China. If he goes it should be for more than that.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I hope that we do not sell him, if we stay up Paul Clement will want to mold his team.

If we sell Siggy, PC will probably follow soon after.
He's clearly an ambitious guy...and the club need to match that ambition.

Then he'll go.

I think Everton would be a good fit for Siggurdson unfortunately.

We can only hope that he's happy here in his personal life and that the side revolves around him. Fingers crossed.

I 've watched the Swans since the mid 70's. Siggy is one ofthe most gifted technically and it is coupled with a great attitude plus tremendous workrate. He may well get in my all time team as rarely has one player carried a side so often singlehanded.
It will depend on what he wants from his career. A lot more money snd bigger clubs will come his way. However, he has had this experience previously and it wasn't great. I have been to Iceland a number of times and the people often have different priorities. It is a small plce with a population no bigger than Cardiff. He is from the capital and that is about the size of Swansea. They all seem to love the countryside and he has just built in the Gower.
Fingers crossed - dream on!!

That's how I see it too. If there is anyone in this side who's likely to surprise a few by staying it's Siggy, given by what's gone on before. It's far from guaranteed of course and 99/100 a player will leave if a big offer and matching big salary is on the cards. But with PC here, I suspect we're now in a good position to make a strong case to keep players.

Siggy in top 11, probably but it'd be a hell of an 11. Would Ferrie make it? Probably not

Also as I see it.

Would he move for money?
Probably not as apparently he is very wealthy outside football.

Would he move because he wants European football ?
Possibly, but Everton could not guarantee this.

Would he move to win silverware?
Possibly but are they more likely to succeed that us, not according to recent history.

I think he will only go if one of three things happen.
We are relegated.
A Champions League team comes in for him.
The club accept an offer they can't refuse.

On a side issue, I wonder if Ash would have gone if Clement was in charge?

He is the best player I have seen for the Swans in a set piece situation. The number of goals created from set pieces means he would get in to my all time side. Then think of him linking up and providing for Latchford and Curtis in general play as well!!
