Now I'm not sure if this qualifies me as one of those tin foil types, but I came across a link to the David Icke forum discussing the current situation in Syria and have to say that I think many pertinent points are raised. I do not trust western media for one second.

So, are we being fed propaganda in an attempt to justify / garner support for the overthrow of Assad? Is he the barbarian that the western media portray him as? And isn't it a bit rich condemning his methods, whilst coalition air strikes kill hundreds of civilians across the border in Iraq?

Emily Thornberry sums up beautifully what a lot of us on here have been discussing regarding the shameful way Trump has acted on this. The international community should have been involved looking for the evidence of the attacks before they decide what action to take. These missile strikes have escalated the war. We now await Russia and Irans response....

Surprised the BBC and the other snowflakes have not blamed Trump for the chemical attacks.

He has taken action unlike the pussy who has just left the White House who just let the children
suffer slow agonising deaths from the chemical attacks and did nothing for the last few years.

Was it not one of Bush and Blairs main arguments about invading Iraq that Saddam had carried out chemical attacks on his own people which is exactly what Assad has done.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Obama did try and take military action against Syria but Congress (who has war-making powers according to the constitution) rejected military action.

In fact, Trump urged Obama not to engage Assad a few years ago via twitter. Sorry if that doesn't fit in your world view.

Some were doubting none were used . Now they agree with Syria government spokesperson that they didn't

So, chemical weapons were used

If Trump didn't drop them, who did

If Assad did so, then Putin clearly has blood on his hands

Your description should be totally reversed for the two.

Trump protecting the children of Syria while Obama sat on his hands and done nothing FACT.

Obama just walked about with a stupid grin on his face whilst achieving nothing in his 8 years

Whether they were used or not is not the issue.

There is an ulterior motive to absolutely everything the US does in the middle east. America has killed more directly and indirectly than any other in the past 50 years.

If they truly cared about loss of life, they would topple governments all over Africa.

Of course there's a motive, they don't care about the children they bomb every day.

Here's what's going to happen ...regime change,no voting or discussions this time .

First off no fly zones and corridors to "help the refugees",then boots on the ground ready (it's already happening on the Jordanian border).
Then when everything is in place another "incident" will take place..and that's it...all set to kick ass and get him out through force. Then we own Syria to do with as we please....simples. A big prize indeed.

The problem is if they are determined to go through with this crazy plan and it looks that way, we risk brinksmanship with Russia that could start a world war.

Dangerous few weeks coming up in The Kingdom of Trumpton.

The Beeb is seen by many to be in Trumps corner as regards Trump or Putin, Trump and the Beeb are both part of the establishment.

Have Americans killed civilians/children with bombing runs in that part of the World ?, have they hit hospitals in the past ?, I take it you are not buying the 'gas dump' was unknowingly hit by the Syrians attacking terrorists line ?

Does it make any difference if a child is killed by a bomb or by gas ?, particularly if you was that childs parent.

Wasn't Churchill said to have gassed the Kurds back in the day ?

Some people are doubting whether Assad would use gas when he was said to be winning against ISIS/Al Qaeda/ Al Nusra types.

I heard it said that America said there was no chemical weapons in the country not so long back, now all of a sudden there is, possible reason is when it was declared that there was no Chemical weapons there is because the inspectors could apparently not check ISIS/Al Qaeda/Al Nusra type areas, makes you wonder what side had those chemical weapons ? [some are saying that latest attack is all made up, I would not guess that but the whole thing is odd].
Was a terrorist dump actually hit ?

One conspiracy theory is the Chems came from Libya with a conspiracy theory doing the rounds that America was somehow involved with the chems then ending up in the hands of the terrorists that just happen to be fighting the Syrian Government trying to achieve regime change , I don't say I subscribe to that theory but its been doing the rounds.

As regards the American attack on the base, no Russian planes, no Russian personnel, where was the Russian anti missile system ?, didn't all 59 rockets get through ? ............. hmm, considering it was a wartime airbase, why wasn't there lots of people killed and lots of aircraft destroyed, I think I seen a British source say 6 killed and a Russian source say 14 killed including 11 civilians and the airbase runways still useable, why so few people killed considering 59 missiles were fired at an airbase during a war ?, where were the Russian advisers ?
Was the Russians told to get out of dodge ? [perhaps there weren't any Russians in that base/area anyway ?], where were the Syrian military types as the casualty count for such an attack seems low ?

Is America spoiling for a war ?, Syria, North Korea etc, if there was a gas attack was it right for the Americans to attack ?, if it was not a gas attack and a dump was unknowingly hit have America used it as an excuse for their own ends ?

Its odd, who knows whats gone on, would you trust the Americans one way or the other ?

The Russians were given a thirty minute warning.

They have now abandoned the air safety protocol between the two countries, this was hand delivered to the American embassy in Moscow.

Basically any US jets are fair game for the air defence systems.

G7 countries are apparently not going to place sanctions against Russia after the chemical attack in Syria last week which the UK was apparently calling for................hmm, out of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the US who was against sanctions in this case I wonder ?

In other news Putin is apparently calling for the UN to hold an independent investigation into the chemical attack.

Very murky as regards what happened and who did what and why...........hmm

Oh dear, oh dear.

Here are some Trump tweets re Syria for you to digest:

- "We should stay the hell out of Syria, the "rebels" are just as bad as the current regime. WHAT WILL WE GET FOR OUR LIVES AND $ BILLIONS?ZERO"

- "What will we get for bombing Syria besides more debt and a possible long term conflict? Obama needs Congressional approval."

Obama asked the Republican-controlled Congress to approve bombong against Assad (when you attack a government, rather than a terrorist organization, you need congressional approval). The Republucan-controlled congress rejected action against Assad, and Trump supported that position. I don't know what facts you're into, but that's how it went down.

As for Obama "achieving nothing in 8 years", I guess you're just exposing your ignorance, so well played. The irony is even more real given the complete and utter shambles that is the Trump presidency so far. The "great negotiator" failed at his first attempt at doing anything legislative (see healthcare) that wasn't an executive action. Even you could execute an executive action, it requires being able to sign your name to a piece of paper. A president is judged by his ability to push legislation through Congress, and he's not off to the best of starts.....

Oh and his best "success" so far is bombing an air base in Syria that Syria was using literally the NEXT DAY on bombing runs.

The fact that Charlie Speight virtually ignored every point he was making (to the former Ambassador(!) Of SYRIA) shows zero impartially and a huge media and government collaboration. He accused him of aligning himself against the rest of the world with the Russians. I'm surprised he didn't tell him "you're either for us or against us".

When people like perchrock slag of the Soviet regimes and all its media control without recognizing that it's happening in the West, in Britain NOW it is a truly terrifying prospect that the majority of the population are gullible and will just let this happen. Also see 1930's Germany for the opposite extreme. Different ideologies similar results.

Huge media and government collaboration is right mate. And it's absolutely nothing new either. Why people have any trust in either is beyond me.

This video provided a much needed laugh after today, fair play, the guy nails it!
