Home Crowds Next Season 10:44 - Apr 9 with 3370 views | Al_Bundy | Assuming relegation happens. I've seen quotes that our attendances will or could drop by 5 or 6k next season in the Championship. So if we go down does being in the Prem for 6 seasons increase our core support compared to when we were in the Championship last time? Villa, Norwich and Newcastle's attendances have not seen a 30% drop this season so why should we expect it? or is that just the fickle nature of the South Walian fan ? In theory should be a good number of fans who jumped on board which you could think would still support the Swans by attending matches.
Home Crowds Next Season on 10:53 - Apr 9 with 2670 views | dobjack2 | As there will be no man utd or Liverpool games no need to get a season. Many People will pick and chose and if we are still sh!t won't bother. Our core support in the championship was for a successful side playing ( Sousa excepted) attractive football.

It will be interesting to see how many have renewed. The season after, as you say will potentially ta bigger drop.

Clubs who have been big in the past yes but not premiership clubs and premiership players. This is the first bad season we have had since we moved to the Liberty. Even Sousaball was successful though it sent people to sleep. Comparisons are either with what happened in the 80's at the vetch - we lost people in droves and went back to our core support - or pre- promotion in the championship when we had a winning team playing mostly entertaining stuff. Watching football is not cheap. If the club don't provide what a lot of people want - name players/good football/winning they won't come down. I think you are being very optimistic in your thoughts about the regular size of a championship crowd if we get relegated and are mid table.

This. Do people really think our ST holders won't turn up, just because it's the championship? After they'd already forked out near enough £500?

Was around 15 K under Sousa. The only season in a while I'd not thought of renewing our seasies as well! Next season we're still going to be at least 16,000 (ST renewals and waiting list??) Season after, maybe not so many ST holders, but a lot of walk ups, so I reckon 14-15K Unless we slip straight through. Then I reckon 12-13k

How the fck people can predict the future based on the fact we are one of the best supported sides outside the top six ( outside of our locality ) And ! Since promotion we have expanded our Fan base all over the world, including Merthyr ! Honestly negativity will kill you if you let it. PS - Im still fcking angry re yesterday. Cnts.

If the club are bottom to mid table maybe for games v Burton ( or teams of that stature ) on a Tuesday night when it's snowing. The clubs support is huge now compared to the negativity of people when we were in the championship. Roll with it.

So I would still expect sell outs(excluding away fans) on Saturday games and maybe a drop off in the midweek games. The season after will be interesting regarding season tickets.

You are going to be shocked then. I can almost guarantee our average attendance won't be higher than 17,000.

I can't normally make midweek games in time, so there is sod all benefit for me if we go down, not even extra games to watch.
