Well, I haven't seen anywhere that they demanded. From what I've heard the EFL suggested the club ask LOFT to pay.

Then the EFL denied having asked LOFT to do this, conveniently failing to mention they'd got the club to do it for them.

Underhand, though I'm sure Orient's fans are used to that these days.
