Redknapp was available and willing , Allardyce had been out of work for months twiddling his thumbs until Palace snagged him on Christmas Eve but the Board in their infinite wisdom sat on their arses throughout December and eventually decided Brad Bobbly could no longer be tolerated ......They then went and compounded all their previous misguided work and reverted to an applicant whom they passed over 3 months previously for Brad (following his skyped interview at that stage) and decided he was now the man .

Or closely associated with Derby would have got the alarm bills ringing . A talent he may well be as a Coach is a world apart from being a Number 1 ,in a league and environment which is unrelenting in its pressures and ability to 'think on your feet' and adapt to circumstances which vary from minute to minute of each game let alone each fixture . Well firstly Guidolin was only ill for a couple of weeks so he came back and, along with his team - which included Curt, saved us.
You may be right about PC but it is far too early to say. You can have a bad spell at one club but still recover. Look at Monk and Rodgers. In the latter's case it could be argued he has recovered twice.
Whatever this is the wrong time to get stuck into our manager, or our players for that matter, when we need a united front to se the season out and whilst we still have a chance of staying up. |  |

I think despite the bravado of coming down to the touch line at the Palace game he's not so confident deep down. He's admitted to making mistakes which is a good sign - Bobbly was incapable of doing that and underserving of respect. Definitely needs to give some of the youngsters a chance even if we're in a relegation battle. As Ferguson said - young people suprise you when given the opportunity. PC is one for the long term IMO - quality coach who will become a great manager given time. |  |

Despite what has gone on over the last few seasons,and certainly since the start of this season,we now need stability,we cannot go on in this vein.We all know we are in the brown stuff,and we may or may not go down,that is not PCs fault,he has inherited a wafer thin squad,with no depth,give the man a chance.His time at Derby was not a complete disaster.Like I've said before if we stay up or go down,let him have a fair crack,but he will need the backing of the owners,whom ever they might be.
He also needs to recruit his own players, he has a good network to plunder, and also good contacts.l say we get behind him.The caveat to this is if he fails further down the line,then that is for others to decide,but for now we should give him our full backing. |  | | |

I don't think this is entirely Clement's doing. This batch of players have shown their heart can dessert them multiple times over the past couple of years.
You can only beat the same piece of metal so many times until it completely snaps and sadly the club didn't have the foresight to a) reinvent itself or b) at least buy good enough players to reinforce the metaphorical steel.
I'm in the camp of 'really shouldn't have sacked Guidolin in the first place' as I think with this squad we'd be 15th/16th right now but I don't think Paul Clement should shoulder all the blame. His sacking at Derby WAS utterly insane and I think we'd have a very good chance at bouncing back up into the Prem with him in charge - especially if some of our quite not good enough players are retained.
I'm as frustrated as anyone that he seems hellbent on pushing out the same underperforming players in the same underperforming system but keep in mind that the same system is what got us out of the relegation zone in the first place.
The players aren't good enough technically or mentally. If we survive it will be a miracle and everybody will be praising Paul the heavens. The one person we SHOULD be looking to oust immediately is Scumbag Jenkins. |  | | |
