Just saying that anything to with driving a car competitively is deemed Motor Sport, whether you consider it a sport or not is your choice.

Well anyone can have a go at the snooker and darts versions, but there's only about 3 or 4 folks out there have a possibility of the pole position. That's what makes formula one of little interest to me. On top of that I reckon Hamilton and his mates are the only sport that outdoes the Premier League in terms of hundreds of column inches being generated by so little action. Everyone to their own, mind, I know some people are passionate about it.
| If you can fill the unforgiving minute.
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! |

Driving a car on 11:14 - Apr 15 with 552 views | MrSwerve | Of course it's a bloody sport. Try and race a car or bike on the limit at a racetrack and you'll appreciate it. Either that or go to a Grand Prix and you'll realise it's more than sitting in a car. Formula one drivers are a damn sight fitter than most footballers. Jenson Button wins triathlons. The G that they pull in corners now peak to the same as fighter jets. That's without mentioning the technical side of the sport which is competitive and a huge industry. Bizarre that people think that because you aren't running around kicking or throwing a pig's bladder around it isn't a sport. The car or bike in motor racing is like the dart/club/racket in other sports. I don't know what it is with football fans in particular...this board would have a meltdown if you could amalgamate rugby and f1 into one sport... [Post edited 15 Apr 2017 11:16]
