I'm 22 and been going to games since I was about 5-6. This is the first time I've really seen us in the shite, I've obviously seen what happened in the petty era etc but was too young to really understand the consequences of it all, but I've seen people compare our situation now to that under petty, surely that's a massive over exaggeration? The way I look at it, we go down, a fair majority of the first team leave (apart from gylfi, is that really a bad thing?) we replace them and some of the youngsters come up in to the first team. I'd fancy us to compete in the championship and maybe even come straight back up. That to me doesn't sound as disastrous as dropping out of league 2 and maybe even not having a football club to support.

It depends on who we bring in and what the majority owners want to do with their investment in shares in the club.

See Blackpool, Blackburn etc.

"I'd fancy us to compete in the championship and maybe even come straight back up. "

There's absolutely no way of knowing. It depends on which players leave and who comes in, and who the manager is (we can assume it's PC for now, but that could change). Factor in our disastrous recruitment and there's no guarantee we could put a good side together to replace all those who will leave.

It's not unheard of for teams to struggle when they go down. There's some decent football played in the Championship and some teams with very good team spirit - we've got neither at the moment.

It's the last thing we want.

name me one side that has gone down, lost most of their squad and come back up again?

I think it's inevitable we'll go down, I've grown up watching us in the lower leagues so it won't be anything new, I've just never seen us be shit enough to go down haha.

All teams that go down think they will just bounce straight back up lol, some teams even throw a wad of money at it and still fail but don't worry we won't throw wads of money at it at all and we are under the exspurt guidance of spew Junkins. Hope this helps.

The teams that come straight back up are either massive clubs like Newcastle, or well-run clubs like Burnley who can afford to keep their squad together. Once we sell our best players in the summer we'll be left with a squad that's barely Championship standard and I think we'll easily be closer to another relegation than coming straight back up.

I think we all know the yanks won't throw any decent money at decent championship type players

They will sell off our biggest earners, buy cheap sh!te and promote a few of the u23s

They are first and foremost business minded and making money is top of their list that's why they wanted to buy a PL club as they knew they would make money whether we remained or got relegated from te PL ala the venkys at blackburn

If/when we go down its going to be interesting times ahead

We are lucky as in the trust we own 1/5th of the club and it's upto them to do something about it in the summer

Glyfi will be the first person to leave.
We won't be able to afford to keep in The Championship.

Interesting as in shit, and no the trust won't do shit. So it's just one big shit sandwich without the bread.

Maybe we could even have two pieces of brown shit with one piece of white shit in the middle, the ultimate.

Gylfi is one of the first names on Iceland's team sheet and to be that, he has to be playing at the highest level so he wouldn't want to be playing in the Championship and you can't blame him for that. Same with Fabs in the Poland team.

I would imagine that apart from Gylfi and Fab the rest of them will stay. largely because I doubt anyone else will pay that level of wages for them. I suspect we will have trouble shifting the likes of Fer, Cork and Barrow. Bring back Bartley alongside Mawson keep the fullbacks (Naughton will be fine in the championship). Nordfeldt will do a decent job. Keep Carrol pulling the strings in midfield bring through some of the U23's and we will make a decent fist of the Championship. I am feeling positive.

Llorente and Montero will leave.

Narsing came for Prem games so will look to go.

Ayew? maybe a move to Europe

Being reported (only the Sun) that Burnley are interested in Bartley

Llorente will go clearly as will Baston poss on loan. Narsingh, Montero and Ayew can all go for me without weakening the club.

The trusts choices appear to be simple - go to court or suck it up. But the consequences are anything but simple.

If the trust go to court where does that leave the club - potentially a fecked up pre-season with our fecking useless fecking recruitment on top of it and advertising to every player that didn't know it already that we are a grade A fecking basket case. If they lose they are fecked if they win where does the club go?

Sucking it up means that we have been well and truely shat on by mainly local people who have made themselves fortunes and we all have to deal with it in our own ways.

Rock and a hard place for the trust and a whole picnic basket full of sh!t sandwiches for us.

Depends if the court case will be against the sellers and the club not involved?

Whatever goes on will distract from what needs to be done and the trust will get the blame if anything goes belly up.
