A chance to have a pint with Leanne on 21:36 - Apr 18 by Kilkennyjack | Well staying in the UK has made us one of the poorest regions in Europe. Albert Einstein is broadly credited with exclaiming “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”. Wales needs change. |
We've been in the EU for 40+ years mate, we were given the best deal you can get twice. It achieved f*ck all. It's time to stop blaming everyone else and look at ourselves. We could start by educating kids properly, teaching them about responsibility, teaching them to be ambitious, teaching them a work ethic, teaching them that blaming somebody else for your failures is a cop out, teaching them not to quit, teaching them not to be bitter or jealous, teaching them that they should value themselves based on what they contribute not what they get paid, teaching them to always try their best and not to apologise or be ashamed for doing so, teaching them to get off their xbox or whatever and get out there or sit down and learn new skills. It takes time and patience from parents as well as the kids and that is the way forward for this country. Not the OK from some prick in Brussels to give some of the UK's money back weighted in Wales' favour, just so long as you spend it the way we want you to and you are sure to put up a little blue plaque out the front in order to remind yourselves how very, very lucky you are that I am here handing out the cash instead of those nasty English people (whose money it really is).

So just to be clear then ..... We should stick with the hard Brexit Tory UK Government, even though it was the same UK governments that made Wales one of the poorest regions in Europe. We should tell the nice EU people who granted us Objective 1 funding (cos wales was so poor, see above) to feck off. Rightio - not really the change i was hoping for mind .....

There's a lot of truth in this post. Society has become 'entitled' and people want everything for nothing.

Indeed some do & only a small percentage. Some people need 3 jobs just to get by . However most concede and (this includes you) that this country is corrupt and always will be, we need to change and need to change soon . Divide and conquer Has worked. Id have a pint with Leanne, you could sit down and talk to her . May would just look at you and snarl if you questioned her constant lying and backtracking [Post edited 19 Apr 2017 8:00]

Using that logic presumably Wales staying in the EU has made us one of the poorest regions in Europe. Or does it only work when you make up the example?

If the uk government invest the same structural funding in wales as the EU did, then you might have a point. But it wont. Under hard Brexit, wales will get far less investment. If you think thats a good thing then you will have what you want. Feck nose why you would want that outcome mind. Instead the uk will now throw billions at keeping the City of London in the single market. For clarity - the Tories dont give a toss about wales.
