Well, given "usury" was used as an excuse to persecute Jews, I'm wondering what trampie's view of it would be?
But, if you mean in the case of something like pay day loans, you can understand high interest rates. The loans are intended to be short term only. People take out loans they know they can't repay, deliberately defaulting expecting it to get written off. You can blame the lenders for lending it to high risk groups in the first instance, sure.
Do you think usury is a vile crime against humanity and a heinous sin ?

Crime against humanity, sin?
Not really, no.
Not always particularly ethical, sure.
I'm sure the families of dead in Syria et al would be chuffed to know an interest rate of 146252% is morally equivalent to the slaughters of innocents though.

Define sin you say:- An immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law, divine law being the will of God.
The major religions of the world think that usury is a sin, do you think usury is a sin blueytheblue ?
I wouldn't trampie because being an athiest I don't accept that definition of the word "sin".
High interest as a default I'd say is unethical. Where I don't find it unethical is when lending to high risk borrowers - and even then lending companies should be more risk averse and not lend to incredibly high risk borrowers.
Curious as to why you're so concerned about this, tbh. I'd presume it's nothing to do with the fact usury was a stick used in the past to persecute Jews.

Living in Borehamwood and Watford whilst simultaneously working in Stanmore for 9 years allowed me to observe in depth our Hebrew and Shebrew brethren
You've got some chutzpah, fair play. Wasn't there a Synagogue in Ffynone? I remember going there when I was in Manselton School. They gave us Kosher Kit Kats'

Interesting choice of phrase 'You tell us, trampie', you use there, its all these usernames you have got on the go that is confusing you isn't it , is waynekerr55 and you the same person ?, 'I'm not a Jew personally but you keep talking about Jews, are you, your family or friends Jews blueytheblue ? as you seem to link a lot of things to Jews for no apparent reason.

"Are" not "is".
heritage / family heritage has been explained many times before.
You introduced the topic of "usury". I was pretty interested in your motivation for doing so, really, seemed a tad random even for you. I made an observation the concept has been used to persecute Jews quite a bit, in particular after the crusades.
Seems you're looking for something that isn't there.

Now back to my instant coffee.
You say your ''heritage / family heritage has been explained many times before''.
I haven't heard it, what's the story with your heritage/family heritage ?

You've got a memory on you!
I was tempted to buy the book "does your Rabbi know you're here" to give to one of my mates.
One of the lads in work was teased by Dennis Wises' cousin. Used to call him J Rich as he said he looked like the Chairman of a club in a largely Hebrew part of Norf Laandan. But then I remembered that it could have been construed as anti-semtic and that Bluey Der Schutz would put me on ignore

Might put you on a lot of things but ignore isn't one of them.
