I've kept an eye on this out of interest since we joined the PL

We're actually 32nd on points overall, with a total of 266, from 70 wins and 56 draws, losing 97 times. We are just 8 points away from Derby County, who have played 44 games more than us. On our current PPG average, it will take us close to 7 games to overhaul them.

Below us are a number of historically 'bigger' teams than ourselves, such as Nottingham Forest (33rd), Ipswich Town (34th) and Wolves (37th)

We are currently 1746 points behind leaders Manchester United, which on our current PPG average, would take us 1270 games, and 34 seasons to catch them.

The Premier league will celebrate it's 10,000th game next season (towards the tail end) it is currently on 9,668 since it's inception 25 years ago. It will also see it's 26,000th goal.

If the current list of active teams that have been members since its foundation in 1992, stay in the league in time for the 2018/2019 season, they will play their 1000th game respectively, sometime in August 2018.
