No point signing him if there are no games for him.
Personally i would just have a young keeper or two as back up - and if anything bad happened to Fab then hit the loan market. Thats what we used to do. See under Neil Cutler.
We also have our older German friend, plus the young arsenal keeper we signed and then loaned to Barnet. No, no idea why ?

Well we can't just loan players in outside the transfer window unless we have no keepers and it's an emergency loan...which would be daft.

There are only 2 playing shirts to give out in firsts and u23s.
So need Fab and an u23 clearly.
Plus 2 on the bench each game. Problem is they dont play at all.
We fix this by having 7 senior keepers fab, german, nordfelt, ozzy, barnet, thomas, and zabret.
Only 1 a swansea product.
Who was the last first choice keeper Swansea produced ?

Definitely don't need 7 keepers.
5 at most I'd say - 2 first choice and bench, +1 for emergencies.
with just 4 though, if you applied to PL for special dispensation you'd be in with a bloody good chance of getting an emergency keeper in, if you got down to 2 keepers. | |
