Just had a leaflet through the door from Tonia and it was all about helping disabled people and protecting benefits. Yes, important, but the main drive should be about creating jobs, backing businesses, improving transport links and housing. The tone of these communications is all wrong in my humble opinion. Labour must be much more than the popular impression of it being the party of handouts and protest. Honestly, we don't do ourselves any favours. |  |

Yes, important, but the main drive should be about creating jobs, backing businesses, improving transport links and housing. The tone of these communications is all wrong in my humble opinion. To be fair, farming is basically devolved. Rebecca Evans, the assembly member used to hold the farming brief so I'd imagine she's got at very least a working relationship with the farmers. | | | |

I know the leaflet you've had as I've been delivering it all day. The disability benefit article was on one page out of 4. The other three pages were about infrastructure, investment, Brexit, and a few others.
I don't disagree with your point in principle though. Labour should not be the party of handouts and we should get lazy b@stards back to work. | | | |
