You insult the rest of the World with that sort of hyperbole.

You've won the lottery being born in a Country as affluent as this one.

Could be worse I know. I could have been born in one of the countries we've been bombing/invading on a lie for their natural resources. Or a country that's being f*cked over by weapons sold by us (Yemen via the Saudis).

You think 'winning the lottery' means power shouldn't be held to account?

There's a complete lack of understanding of WHY people vote conservative here.

For a start those that vote conservative are not slavish in their support. It's no shock to me there isn't fawning, there's more criticism if any from those of the centre right, there isn't a tribal loyalty to tories like labour.

People don't vote conservative for goodies, if they did they'd vote labour. People vote conservative because they believe when it comes to core issues like defence, law & order, security, the economy etc that those issues are in safe hands.

I will not be voting conservative but understand why others will be. On an issue by issue basis of course labour policies will be popular. Take social care, I'm not sure about the tory policy but it's bold and it's risky with middle class voters. That's taking a DIFFICULT decision, not just saying no worries we'll borrow another 20 billion a year and worry about that tomorrow.

As Vince Cable on QT the other night pointed out regarding tuition fees all parties at one time or another lied to the public, now labour in new populist clothes have said it'll be free but what does that mean? Either cuts to places or a never ending pool of cash that will be needed to fund free tuition for posh kids.

The tory document is pretty centrist overall, in fact you could argue almost centre left with its emphasis on State intervention. The tory party are not there to be loved by adoring crowds, they are there to take difficult decisions, to say no we can't afford this or that.

Labour will say every problem can be resolved by another tax on the rich, it's fantasy land stuff.

Most of that's the usual bollocks you get from dyed in the wool Tory voters like rockin. As many people slavishly vote Tory cos their dad did and their grandad did etc as do vote Labour. It's the inherent superiority complex in Tory voters that leads them all to convince themselves that they're making an informed political choice whereas those stupid Labour voters are just dumb sheep. It's pathetic.

Well the fact I'm voting lib dem kind of defeats your whole line of attack.

There are donkey tory voters of course, but I'll still argue that labour voters are far more tribal in nature. When I say that I don't just mean voting labour, I mean whatever labour says.

Labour are kept together by one thing, their hatred of all things tory. You wouldn't get a load of right wingers outside a labour event shouting socialist scum, spitting, punching people walking in.

If you go to the South of England you won't find left wing people voting tory because their father did, you will find them voting green, liberal or even labour. The reason they keep getting tory MP's in those areas is because they actually agree with the tory party overall. In S.Wales you'll get right wing people voting labour on mass, as we've seen in brexit vote. That's the difference. I dare you to disagree.

I know you're voting LibDem this time. it's a one issue thing. You're Tory to your boots. That's fine of course. Your choice. Just stop pretending that you're intellectually and morally superior to the rest of us because of that choice. It's unedifying. Your evidence in the mast paragraph is anecdotal and not backed up by reality.

You say I'm liberal one min, then tory to the boots next.

I'd say I'm pretty centrist, with leanings to the right

The reason people vote Tory is that they have no idea what a bunch of criminal, treasonous wretches they are. They're spoon fed their reality by Rupert, Richard, Jonathan and the like.
And I'm not Labour btw. The whole left/right paradigm is divide and conquer bollocks.

You're a classic one nation Tory. We've been through this many times. Socially liberal, economically conservative, small state and with the "I'm better than you" attitude that pervades Tory voters. This obviously doesn't make yiou a bad person. The modern Tory party probably holds as much attraction for you as today's Labour holds for me. Your posts over the last two pages have been mostly a fishing trip. You got me.

Vote Tory folks. Your children will thank you for landing them in £44,000 worth of interest bearing debt for a university education. Despite the fact that yours was more than likely free.

She's had the audacity to come out and say nothing has changed. She's a disgrace, she's lied about pretty much everything she's said since she's taken charge! I think it's pretty clear she can't handle any sort of pressure. How on earth people think she's the best person to lead us through brexit i don't know.

Even I can't excuse that!

To stand up and bare faced lie to the reporting press and public has blown any credibility May had left.

If it wasn't for the fact her opposition are so incompetent, she would be in real trouble. Instead, she is still going to win a landslide and we can look forward to "strong and stable" leadership.

Things Theresa May has changed her mind on:

Brexit.
Whether to have an early election.
The NI increase for the self employed.
The Tory manifesto social care fiasco.
The energy price cap policy which she opposed but is now Tory policy.
Leaving the European Convention on Human Rights?

Thank god she offers such strong and stable leadership.

This is worth a look:

https://inews.co.uk/essentials/news/politics/jeremy-corbyn-tim-farron-theresa-ma

"Theresa May has voted in 53.53 per cent of votes since 2015, well below the average among MPs (Source: Public Whip)." Amazing, but not surprising.

My grandmother died of Dementia in January and with the whole Dementia Tax uproar, the choice is even more clear for me this election.
