First half at Wembley against Reading wasn't bad

Poll: Your favourite ever Swans shirt sponsor?

That was probably some of the best football I've ever seen the Swans play, the 1 st half of that game. Let's hope for a repeat on Sunday. 😁

That was undoubtedly the best 45 mins I have seen.

Laudrup was almost lost for words in his post game interviews.

Napoli home was another. Drew the game but we were incredible that night. If it was not for Pepe Reina we would have won comfortably.

Thank you, goodnight and bollocks

Pablo showed us all what he was capable that game, he was practically perfect. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was the one game or one half of a game anyway that was like watching Brazil. Never seen it since or before.

Laudrup when he was interested made us world beaters.

Life is an adventure or nothing at all.

Absolutely the best half of football I have seen us play, despite Lukaku nicking one just before half time

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game
Poll: Happy to see Martin go

The greatest Swans half ever. Thanks for posting that.

Swans playing in our perfect all white and matching tbe great Real Madrid for both style and quality.
Baggies made to play like Loughor Rovers seconds.

God bless ML.

I have watched the Swans for 50 years. Without doubt that night we played the best football I have ever seen from a Swansea team.

He also went off injured .... that was him in a microcosm.

And some conveniently forget that Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge were as instrumental as Pablo in that performance. Both have been castigated in event times but I would rather have them involved than Barrow and Montero

"Yossarian- the very sight of the name made him shudder. There were so many esses in it. It just had to be subversive" (Catch 22)

Indeed it was a great 44minute performance until a bit of luck & loss of of concentration gifted Lukaku a goal.

For complete 90 minute performances. In the Championship away to Millwall stands out for me. A 0-2 win, complete control & goals by Pratley & Dobbie.

In the PL the 0-3 win at Craven Cottage must be one of the all time stand out performances by a Swans team in the PL. Goals by an on loan Siggy & Joe Allen, what a day. Total footfall at its finest under Brendan

What about perfect second halves?

Leyton Orient away under the waiter was a good one. 0-1 at HT, 0-5 at FT - Feeney hat trick i think. That was a fine performance as well

"Michu, Britton and Williams could have won 3-0 on their own. They wouldn't have required a keeper."

Bristol City at the Liberty. 1-0 up on the stroke of half time. We then went on to win 7-1. Just a shame big Kev got sent off.

Poll: What was your expectation for this season?

90 minutes - Liverpool away in the Capital One Cup under Laudrup. Played them off the park and then could hit on the break at will. Top all round performance that was.

Edit. That WBA first half was the best football I've seen live, of anyone anywhere, I think.

Was listening to sports reporters on New Year's Eve of that year -one reporter from a major newspaper described the first half of the WBA game as his greatest sporting moments of the year. Remarkable.

And their keeper who was taken off before him. Man, even Chico had Higuain in his back pocket that night

Michu tormented Carragher that night. You almost felt sorry for the bloke. Almost...

Ki was superb.

Another 45 minutes of pure delight, 0-5 at Loftus Road, Laudrup's first league match. 0-1 at half time, little did we expect when we tore them apart in the 2nd half to the tune of boring boring Swansea, boring boring Swansea ... have it!!

As with this OP, this is the half that sticks in my memory, and Pablo was the star for me. Pity Routs and Dyer have so rarely hit the same heights since.
