Always thought the whole secret 'men only' concept was laced by societies long held oppression of homosexuality.
Mmmmm...

May have done some 'good' - not sure - but certainly has no place in our modern, equality based, multi cultural, open western democracy. (A bit like calls for the past, and even calls for Sharia law in that respect).

The whole thing reminds me of a Monty Python sketch - except its fecking real.

You must be involved Perch, old white ex copper. Nailed on, right ?

If by that you mean Black people then there are many lodges in the U.S.A. that are run by and for black people.

The old central lodge in Cairo had most Egyptian presidents down as members. Nearly EVERY U.S. president has been a Freemason.

White people are people of colour Perchy.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Not in the 1970s they weren't, in the world of Love thy Neighbour and Life on Mars.

True Jamie but it's a phrase preferred by Asians ,black people .

Used to be the old much lamented IC1 etc ,then mixed race , West Indians see themselves as different to African blacks .

Half caste of course long binned

It's a matter of not offending people and that s hard

So hence, " of colour" is a term used now .

I've been saying this for weeks,Scouce behind closed doors is clearly an angry Alf Garnett/Eddie Booth type person using terminology abhorrent in the 21st century.

Try it out.

It's the way of non offending .

Caribbean people see themselves as quite different from African , but you knew that and are having a piece of fun...which is fine

Word of advice though ....don't think mixed race is a term that s easily accepted

From your lofty roost on Cimla hill don't you regard anybody living south of The Drill Hall as a wog?

"Nearly every US president has been a Freemason"

- I think most were in fraternities, rather than lodges. Could be wrong but I know many presidents, congressman, justices etc have been fraternity members.
