Lawrence was a good signing for us at the time was a good partner for Monk and scored a few goals not the best centre half we've had but certainly not the worst. I prefer to think on our best players not our worse some players fit and some don't. Amankwah didn't work out for us but on the Two occasions I met him he was a true gent. |  | | |

Joao Moreira, left back signed from Benfica in the bottom division. Quite tall and gangly but was pretty quick so could beat a man, he just genuinely couldn't kick it. |

Kevin Budd was memorably bad in his one and only performance for us, so much so that the North Bank were jeering him before half time. Mercifully he got injured. Stewart Phillips deserves consideration for worst striker. Colin Appleton signed half a team of utter bilge. One of them was a Centre Half called Mark Hughes. Lord was he dreadful. Dark times.

You check Torpeys goal record for us and tell me you can't find a worse striker..
He scored 44 goals in 4 seasons and we sold him to Bristol City for £400,000.
Lee Chapman scored 4 goals in 7 games for Swansea, a team relegated that season.
Much worse out there mun.

I know - he scored goals. Around 10 a season for our first choice striker. But you must be kidding me if he didn't frustrate you when you were going to the vetch those days?

Dai Penneys move to Cardiff always stood out for me. My memory is fuzzy on this
