No need to thank me.

Even when you know, you never know?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with 150,000 people gathering and having a great time of it. Fantastic.

But spare me the faux right-on socialism of it all - it's almost impossible to think of a greater example of rampant capitalism and sheer greed than charging people a grand to stay in a tent for a weekend, sorry 'tipi' sic. Snigger.

And the Corbyn hysteria of this one makes it even more sickening than normal. Bleating about the effects of austerity and the bast*rd 'rich scum Tories' while spending £500 on tickets.

I enjoy watching the music, but the nonsense of it all is ever more ridiculous. Notting Hill is bloody empty this weekend, with all the hedge fund managers and their pampered families down at 'Glasto darling'. Repeat after me 'oh, Jeremy Corbyn'.

Do you write for the Daily Mail? They printed more or less an identical view today.

Write for it?

I don't even read their disgusting, bigoted, judgemental, little Englander crap so I haven't seen it.

Just heard some interview on the radio. Some miserable cünt whining on.

Turned out it was Thhhhom Yorke.

Can't bear to listen to anything him or his band have done in the last 20+years and one of the very few artists I have to skip over. Just too depressing, and I'm a huge Smiths fan.

FACT Thomas Dolby also went to Abingdon.

Morrissey is a massive bellend too. He loves Farage.

Thank you, goodnight and bollocks

Won't argue with that. Though Mexican Americans love him for some reason.

The Radiohead hit that never was. A song called Manowar that got shelved during the OK computer sessions. I have a demo of this and it cuts off half way but they have put up a full polished version on the OKNOTOK re-issue that just came out.

Fans of an accessible Radiohead will like this, it's bends era fodder

Sounding as awesome as ever. Saw them there in 97 and 2003.

Didn't expect to see a Crass logo here 🙂

That goes back to my youth. I was at their last ever gig, we didn't know it at the time and neither did the band. It was a miners benefit in Aberdare. I met Steve, Penny and Eve in the day (I'd bunked off school) they were saying I should be at school otherwise I'd end up like them lol Penny said don't listen to them, no one knows what they want to do in life until their late 20's anyway.

I think that is where some of my ant-establishment leanings have taken root. They were basically hippies with anarchist overtones and lived in a kind of commune in Epping Forest which Penny still runs and lives in. He is setting up a trust so the open door project can continue. It's a place where anyone can turn up and you'll get fed and sheltered as long as you can lend a hand or contribute some art or poetry.

Their music is challenging but the lyrics and message are relevant even today.

External control are you gonna let them get you?
Do you wanna be a prisoner in the boundaries they set you?
You say you want to be yourself, by christ do you think they'll let you?
They're out to get you get you get you get you get you get you get you
(Big A little A)

Nothing changed for all the death, that their ideas created
It's just the same fascistic games, but the rules aren't clearly stated
Nothing's really different cos all government's the same
They can call it freedom, but slavery is the game
There's nothing that you offer but a dream of last years hero
The truth of revolution, brother................... is year zero
(Bloody revolutions)

Love that song, thanks for posting.

Looking for other versions of it on YouTube, I see now that was the song they were messing around with in the studio in Meeting People Is Easy. Also there's a live version that goes all the way back to 1995.

Poll: Biggest signing so far in January? (just curious what Planet Swans thinks)

Thanks for that, though I doubt it will get into my list of favourite unknown Radiohead songs.

This one does though. I f*cking love it.

Radiohead at their best.

I like Radiohead, however I saw them live not long after I`d seen Muse and Depeche Mode and to be honest there live shows are outstanding, so after seeing them I found Radiohead to be pretty boring compared to them.
