Anyone on here watch it? If so, thoughts?

I've noticed lately that when I'm setting up the pub for the day, I'm more and more likely to have this channel on in the background than the BBC or Sky News. Seems a lot more informative, and less agenda driven.

There got you, why vote for a right wing party like Labour then ???

Either you was going to say you don't support those measures and would therefore be a right winger or you do support those measures - so why vote for a party that doesn't support those measures, a right wing party.

The bottom-line is you vote for a party that supports neoliberalism, a party that promotes privatisation, free markets and reductions in Government spending and are involved with unions when lots of unions give financial backing to a right wing party like Labour, they are all right wingers.

Are you old enough to know the difference between right and left wing politics ?, were you of voting age when Michael Foot stood for Prime Minister in 83 with Labours last Socialist manifesto ?

So Labour aren't planning to reverse the Tories tax cut for the highest earners and part renationalise the railways? You'd best go and have a word with Ed Milliband then because he's saying that to anyone who'll listen.

Do I agree with everything Labour does? No. Do I think its a right wing party? Absolutely not.

Yes I am old enough to know the difference between right and left wing politics I spent many of my teenage years engaging in radical left wing activities but I've mellowed with age.

I wasn't old enough to vote for Michael Foot in 83 but he was my MP and I currently hold an elected position just yards from Mr Foot's old constituency home sitting in the same chamber where Aneurin Bevan cut his political teeth in the town where the idea for the NHS born.

If man evolved from monkeys why do we still have monkeys?

You would struggle to get a fag paper between Labour and the Conservatives policies, that's how right wing Labour are, near enough a fascist party per that graph I pointed you to the other day.

Michael Foot and Ney Bevan would be turning in their graves.

Labour are traitors to the poor and the working class.

If you are left wing you should not be voting for the Red Tories under no circumstances, why don't you vote for Plaid ?, by the way i'm only a voter and have no agenda, but it beats me that anybody claiming to be left wing can vote for a right wing party like NuLabour, particularly in Wales, the English have only right wing parties [major parties anyway] but that is not the case in Wales we have Plaid, so why would anybody wanting social justice policies vote Labour is a mystery.

For a man with no agenda you've managed 6 pages on here of what began as reasoned debate but which has turned into increasingly inane ranting. Unfortunately you're kind of proving my point that those of a Left persuasion start shouting and criticizing the moment someone dares to have a different opinion to them.

I'm not shouting, i'm just saying it as it is, calling a spade a spade.

I'm in a small minority, the country is dominated by right wingers with an agenda to keep it like that, the people are brainwashed by the press and the authorities, Plaid and the SNP were not allowed to be part of the televised leaders debate by the BBC before the last General Election, so the country was only allowed to see right wingers debating over very similar policies.

PS Salmond would have slammed them [and they knew it - too much scare mongering and disinformation this time for Scottish independence but its coming in years too come as the English and their liking for right wing policies is not for turning], he's a far slicker more skilled operator than the English guys in charge of the unionist parties.

The English public was bribed by tax cuts and share offers and council house sell offs, the Celtics didn't fall for it, cultural I suppose.

Foot [retired] and Bevan [dead] both had gone years before Ebbw works shut.

I don't vote for Plaid because a.) I don't support Welsh independence b.) Plaid are actively campaigning against a project that could potentially create thousands of jobs and totally transform Blaenau Gwent and c.) Leanne Wood is a mumbling, incoherent buffoon who I wanted trust to run a small community council never mind the country.

You have your view on the Labour party, its totally alien to the party I'm involved with and probably totally alien to everyone else's view of the party, but its your view.

Michael Foot was nothing to do with the closure of Ebbw Vale steelworks he'd been retired for over a decade when the works shut.

Its not an alien view, people that are interested in politics know that Labour and the Conservatives policies are very similar and that both are into cutting taxes, the free market and cutting welfare spending.

That political compass site is not my site and it shows Labour to be right wing and they are right wing, you don't recognise it as such because you don't know what right and left wing is and that you are told that they are not right wing and you have swallowed the modern urban myth, you are not the only one mind you.

Scrapping the bedroom tax, making zero hour contracts illegal, regulating the private rental sector to give tenants more security, reinstating the 50p tax rate for top earners, taxing bankers bonuses, part nationalisation of the rail network, reform of the banking industry, freezing energy prices, scrapping the Health and Social Care act and so on and so forth...

Damn that right wing Labour party.

Labour like the good capitalists they are will not increase borrowing to reverse cuts in government spending.

They will plough ahead with the same policies as the Tories if they get in next time [which of course they won't], they have abandoned the poor, like the trade unions they will look to give people in work a little tickle at the expense of the needy, Labour are exactly the same as the Conservatives and they have been for decades now.

Exactly, Margaret won the war.

If people want the safety net of a good welfare state and to enjoy good health, good education and good services then it has to be paid for, we live in a dog eat dog society, survival of the fittest, you better hope that you don't become unemployed, ill, old or are born with less intelligence than others, otherwise things might be tough.

Its particularly unfortunate for us in Wales as its not the Welsh way, but what can you do when you are outnumbered, that's democracy folks.
