Kyrell Wilson admits he did not expect to rediscover his goalscoring touch so quickly after returning from injury, with the striker bagging a brace in Swansea City Under-21s’ 3-1 victory over Bristol City.
Wilson’s goals, plus his assist to set up Charile Veevers for Swansea’s third, made it nine wins from nine for the development side when playing at the Swansea.com Stadium over the last two seasons.
It also moved them to within sight of a two-two finish in the Professional Development League South, and a play-off place.
Wilson had missed a significant period of time with an ankle injury, and has only recently returned to action.
But he has wasted little time making an impact, and he now has 19 goals for the season after four in three appearances following his comeback.
“It was great to do it in front of all the fans at the stadium. We are always appreciative of that, they got behind us and I am glad we were able to get the three goals and put in a good performance,” said Wilson.
“It’s great for me to be scoring again. I had a bit of worry that it would take me some time to try and find my form but thankfully I have found it quickly and I just want to keep scoring and assisting to try and help the team reach our goals.
“We set ourselves the target of trying to get into that top two, and I think we showed that desire and mentality today by responding with two quick goals after they equalised, and I think as a group we have showed great character.
“We are all confident as a team that we can get into the top two, we obviously have a very good record at home, so we will recover then look to build towards these final games and try and get the job done.”
And then they absolve themselves of reponsibility and direct complaints to the company they chose, they were responsible for the patient being late, they should take care of his fine!
Brentford is a horrible place with very poor air quality being located below the elevated M4. Not sure Swansea independent would be biggie ng up this club. They do not have their own academy and use the system to poach other clubs stars.
Sam Parker has had his head turned it seems. Govea signed a long term deal but not Parker. He is the future and it seems to me the club should push hard to tie him up instead of wasting money on old geezers well past their best (eg Pedersen). Parker has two more years on his deal.
I suspect Pedesen is paid way more than Parker wants,. Ift is a dumb way to operate. Iwan Morgan has already slipped the nest. Cardiff city have lost 5 or 6. Swansea needs to work harder to tie these guys down. Dan James burst the scene with only two year on hi deal and had to go. mcBurney was out of contract. Roberts ran down his deal and went for pennies.

Well if I was in charge there would be big changes in Swans TV,
Their little skits with the lovely lady are great as are everything involving Cyril the Swan and trundle preferably together.
But please get rid of Anthony O'Connell and Wyndham. Somebody in Swans TV thinks the fans want dumbing down and less. I want information and more not less.
HTFC TV commentary is vastly superior to O'Connell who has n been on the 'eadsy oasy' for some time. Nicholls becomes "the keeper" and other HT players remain namely nameless.
Compare this with the HT guy. Quality on one hand and second rate on the other. He di nor namecheck Azeem but apart from that was great.
Well done to Kyrell who’s currently the league’s top scorer in the under 21’s with 15 goals. The squad are having a really good season and are competing to get into the playoffs with just a few games to go and would be good to see one or two get a twenty minute run out with the first team before the season ends.
