Thread | Sell 5 and then Buy 3 - Who would you pick?

Morning, I did this game with the Mrs on a road trip recently to pass a few mins.
If you were the manager / chairman and you could sell 5 players to recoup the money to buy 3 new players - who would they be?

RULES
You can only spend what you have earned through selling first.
Realistic transfer money sales - i.e. Ben out for £10 million would be realistic - £20 million unrealistic.
You have to have 1 player covering 1 x Defence, 1 x Midfield, 1 x Striker.

We both struggled tbh as its easy to do the first few but as it becomes nitty gritty of what we need as a club, its harder to pick realistic players. [Post edited 8 Jul 2014 12:02]

Who would you like in and who would you like out. But realistic though.
Out - Tiendalli, De ZZZmun, Vasquez, Jazz, Lamaar.
In - Someone who can head the ball on corners goal wards. Lefondre. Joe back from Liverpool.
I'd like to see Bartley next to Ash to lighten the burden on him.
Would be interested to have a post that didn't degenerate into a f* this and that post though. |

The panel are discussing how Tim Sherwood came in and immediately reverted training to short, fast-paced intense sessions, as opposed to AVB's long and less challenging ones. Another club that had morale issues, put back on track by a long serving ex player.
Hope we go the same way with us and reward Monk with the job.
Would be nice to break the trend that a premiership club can only do well with a foreign Marquee manager. [Post edited 9 Feb 2014 12:58]

I'm particularly swayed in joining as it has squash courts.
