Hull-based referee Mark Brown is the man in the middle for Dale’s final League One home fixture (for the time being) on Saturday.

Mr Brown is in his second season as a league referee and this will be his third visit to Spotland in that capacity.

We last saw him at Spotland back in August for the 0-0 draw with Carlisle, while in November 2010 he refereed our 3-3 home draw with Swindon.

We also saw Mark in March 2011 when he was the referee for Dale’s 2-0 win at Hartlepool.

So far this season he has refereed 33 games, showing 99 yellow cards and six red.

His most recent outing was last Saturday when he refereed Aldershot’s 4-0 win at Burton.
