With less than 3000 hardy souls turning up to watch the game tonight, The Vetch Field was devoid of any atmosphere bar a few half hearted attempts at anti-Cardiff songs and the biggest cheer for some reason was saved for the fact that the afore-mentioned bluebirds were losing at half-time. As if it makes a difference.

Hollins team was slightly changed from that of Saturday with Jason Jones remaining in goal for the injured Roger Freestone, Lee De Vulgt replacing Jason Price at right back and Andrew Mumford in for his first league start. Wrexham started the brighter of the two teams and had already served one warning on the Swans goal when they broke two on one and the ball was crossed for falcounbridge to slot into an empty goal. The feeling of doom that had been felt over the Vetch for most of the season returned again at this point as Wrexham created two more decent chances and threatened to run riot. It was a relief that lee Trundle was not on the pitch. Swansea, in fairness had their share of chances in the first half with decent efforts from Roberts, Roberts and Roberts and also one from the very large Mumford. The visiting keeper was having problems dealing with the slippery ball and several times appeared to be making life as easy as possible for the forwards who seemed incapable of completing the excercise. Both sides missed a one on one opportunity where the respective keepers committed themselves and it was some surprise that the half-time score was still 0-1. The second half, to be honest, may as well not have happened. A couple of substitutions, an injury to Roberts and a couple of shots straight at the keepers was the highlight of the half and yet again people walked away with the Swans goalless and beaten. A familiar story. Yet again we had to endure the Duck at half-time, even the novelty of this has seemed to have finally worn off on anybody over the age of 10 and it's not helped by a couple of musical notes either. For me tonight's match sums up the state of Swansea City at the moment. 5 minutes into games people want them to finish, less people turn up each time and the performances are lacking any form of passion. Blame the players to a degree but the fault lies at the middle and top management. They have bled this club dry and with it sucked any atmosphere out of the Vetch. The sad part is, there have been few sides this season that have impressed if only we had a decent manager then we could be in Rotherham's position. It's been said before but this time we have to say it with more and more conviction.
