Heaven Knows We're Miserable Now

Heaven Knows We're Miserable Now

The arguments about the, not just loss of form but the total lack of it have been simmering for a while, but the performances in the last fortnight quite rightly have accentuated the debate and that's good and one which must take place. Supporters are in a unique position now at SCFC, we cannot be ignored by the board as some of us are part of it and as we contribute to wages of players then we have every right to discuss, support and yes criticise where we think it appropriate. I am not one for Flynn out, I am tempted to join that bandwagon as the performances especially in the league since December have been sub standard and lacking a vision that the players we have are capable of. I will say that Mid September to the beginning of December the squad were decimated by injuries and however good the manager, any manager would have struggled to put out a side and ask them for a string of cohesive performances with so many injuries during this period. There is a proviso though and that is why so many injuries have occurred and reoccurred in training. These are not the actions of a Tom Bennett, these are direct results of the training patterns set by Footballing Management. Yes we have had these injuries but these have in the main cleared up and with one or two exceptions however, the form in 2004 is a concern and I do not accept that the cup is a distraction, the success (word used advisedly) should have been a springboard to help in the league, this has clearly not happened and whether this is the fault of the DoF in getting the team to concentrate on the Cup rather than the league or the team itself in playing to avoid injuries and bookings for the cup, if it was the former then the DoF needs a public dressing down for it and if the latter the players need a kick up the proverbial and told to get their fingers out of places where some fingers have been for sometime. I welcome the board in accepting another Q&A session on JA Net of course they should not be invited to do so they should do so as matter of due course as we help with some of the aspects of the club. IT IS OUR MONEY that pays wages, it is our money in the form of gates money and programmes and beer in the various bars and I do not go along with the view that some be protected from giving reasons and answers to why things have gone so flat. Either by Trust money or gate money we have been providing financing for a while now. The supporters of SCFC are a fickle bunch but there is one thing that is not in question when the call came to help save the club we stood up and helped. When asked to dig in our pockets we have dug deep and as time has wore on we have dug even deeper. When asked to support we have done so at home and away. SCFC supporters are not perfect but we have come pretty darn close to it over the last few years and so it is because of this we now must have answers, and not sweeping generalisations, as to why things have gone so poorly in the League. From the outset I have said that I will not join the "Out" brigade, however as Shareholders, Trust Holders, Patrons, Supporters we are entitled to answers to things that cannot be ignored anymore. No one is bigger than the Club, the supporters of SCFC fought for our Clubs existence in the face of BIlly Big Boots personalities in the past and we should have no truck with anyone with similar attitudes. 18 Games of poor form is not a blip, training techniques, form, lack of new additions (not only additions but correct additions for players in the right areas) we DESERVE answers to these and more. If the answers are not forthcoming or are not good enough then I will join the brigade Explanations please and explanations now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch Booked it, Packed it, off
