Eastwood is a former West Ham trainee who admitted that he considered retiring from professional football after he was released from the Hammers in 2002. But a spell at Grays reawakened his desire and since signing for the Blues in October 2004 he has never looked back.
He finished with 21 goals last season and played a major part in the club's promotion from League Two, as well as netting the opening striker in the Play-Off Final against Lincoln.
This season Eastwood has scored 21 goals in the league, including one against the Swans in the fixture at Roots Hall. He has scored 11 goals in his last 12 matches, including a hat-trick in the 4-3 defeat of Chesterfield. Eastwood is a prolific scorer at the lower levels as his goals to game ratio proves.
