Darryl Duffy is reported to have been in Bristol having talks with Rovers

Duffy, who joined the Swans last summer from Hull, has failed to make an impression since his permanent move which itself followed a loan move that was hugely more productive.

Just one league goal last season en route to the League One title has led the Swans to consider cutting their losses on the player with both Yeovil and Bristol Rovers reported to have been interested in his signature.

But it is Bristol Rovers that have emerged as the front runners to grab his signature and reports in Bristol suggest that Duffy has been locked in talks for a day or so with the League One side who are reported to be prepared to pay £100,000 or more for the striker.

Duffy remains in contract at the Liberty Stadium but it is understood that the Swans are prepared to release him from that contract and the same reports say that the two clubs have agreed a fee.

Nothing is expected to be formally announced on the talks this week with a statement from either club expected some time next week which will end Duffy's stay at the Liberty.   Possibly.....!
