Paulo Sousa was a proud man again after his patched up side gained a point at Doncaster

Sousa was forced into more changes thanks to the suspensions of Jordi Lopez and Nathan Dyer along with the injury that will keep Ferrie Bodde out for the remainder of the season.

But he was happy having seen his side earn a point at the Keepmoat and said after the game “There is a big frustration, not just for me but for all the players.

“I am very proud of the work the lads put in. In the first half we got our strategy right and we had a minimum of four clear opportunities to score.

“Games like this, and the recent game at Barnsley, have to be won as games like this can put us in a completely different position in the table.”

The media tried to draw Sousa into criticism of Gorka Pintado who was subbed in the second half but he was not going to fall into the trap as he said “It is not only about Gorka, the most important thing for me is to see a minimum of three or four players in the box attacking the areas we need to attack,” he said.

“I don’t just want strikers to score, I want wingers, midfielder and defenders to score too. I am happy with what happened tonight but I am frustrated because we deserved two more points and we didn’t get them.”
