Rodgers - Sinclair Can Get 30 Goals Sunday, 27th Feb 2011 08:40 Brendan Rodgers believes Scott Sinclair can hit the 30 goal barrier after his brace helped finish off Leeds The Swansea City manager saw his summer signing from Chelsea break the 20 goal barrier on Saturday as the Swans cemented their second place league position and he still thinks there is more to come. “He’s that greedy he’ll want 30, which is great." Rodgers told Wales on Sunday. “He has the instinct to score goals. He’s got searing pace, great balance and what I love about him is that he wants to score goals. “Having watched Swansea for a couple of seasons I knew that was the type of player we needed. “I had to convince him to come to here because he could have gone to the Premier League, but with the help of his teammates he’s got 21 goals. “All Scott ever needed was games, he’s always had the ability. “I’m very proud of the team, it was a great, great performance. I’m very much about winning games but I want my teams to play a certain way and some of our play was fantastic. “They are a very strong team going forward, so for us to restrict them to one shot on target shows our dominance. “It’s got to be up there as one of the best of the season because of where they are in the top six as well. To play against a rival and play like that is excellent. “I’ve talked to the players about performing under pressure because it will be important now.” Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
