Swans Fans In Confident Mood
Friday, 29th Aug 2014 07:17 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

As with last weekend, Swansea fans are in confident mood ahead of Saturday's visit of West Brom to the Liberty with 87% currently predicting a home win for the team.

The percentage is slightly down on last week where over 93% predicted the home win for the Swans but still a positive vibe from the supporters who are clearly expecting us to head into the first international break of the season on the back of a fourth successive league win and a third at the start of the season.

Two years ago the Swans won their opening two league fixtures and a Capital One Cup tie before drawing a home game (against Sunderland then) that they were expected to win so there will be little doubt that they will be wary of complacency but this is clearly one of those games in which we should be targeting a win and that is certainly the view of the fans at the moment.

Interestingly, West Brom have never won an away game in the Premier League in August and not a single entrant so far has backed that stat to change with the remaining 13% at the time of writing backing a draw in the game which would of course protect our unbeaten start to the season.

Over half the entrants so far have predicted Wilfried Bony to grab the first goal with Gylfi and Routs being the other two popular choices. Score wise the most popular predictions are 2-0 and 2-1.

If you fancy backing some of the predictions with real life bets, Betfred are still offering double odds to new customers (and a £25 matched second bet) at the moment which would give you odds tomorrow on a 2-0 Swans win (14/1) or Bony to score first (9/1) - Click here for details
