Dyer Is Your Man Of The Match
Tuesday, 2nd Sep 2014 08:07 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

Nathan Dyer's two goals for the Swans in the weekend destruction over West Brom at the Liberty is enough to have him awarded the Planet Swans man of the match by the fans after the voting closed last night.

Dyer struck once in each half either side of a Wayne Routledge wonder goal as the Swans maintained their record as one of only two teams in the Premier League with a 100% record to date.

This was on top of his first goal of the season a week before against Burnley with Saturday's performance earning him the highest rating awarded so far this season with his score being an average of 9.1 out of 10 from the fans.

Gylfi Sigurdsson - who assisted on both Nathan's goals - was in second place with 8.9 and Wayne Routledge third at 8.3 Unsurprisingly the fans enjoyed the match (who doesn't enjoy a 3-0 win?) and rated it 8.6 out of 10 as the Swans topped the Premier League for a couple of hours at least.

Nathan's performance on Saturday almost appeared to be in defiance against being overlooked - again - for an England call up a few days before and with 2 goals from his 2 attempts and a 91% pass rate success in the game it is difficult to know how much more a player has to do before his country sits up and takes notice.

As we have said before though, England's loss is our gain. His link up play with Sigurdsson is a joy to watch at this point in time and that should give Chelsea something to think about a week on Saturday as the two 100% records go head to head at Stamford Bridge.

For me on Saturday the man of the match award went to Gylfi but it was always a straight choice between him and Nathan and it was always likely to be difficult to split them as the voting proved
