Swans Fans Split Over Dyer Future
Thursday, 2nd Jul 2015 07:00 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

After we exclusively revealed earlier this week that Newcastle, Sunderland and Norwich were in for Nathan Dyer, Swans fans are clearly split over the future of the winger who has been part of the furniture here for six years.

Dyer's future at the club has been called into question this summer with the capture of Andre Ayew leaving him as one of what appears to be many options for Garry Monk.

It is worth remembering that Nathan featured in 32 of our 38 Premier League games last season so he is very much in the plans of the manager or at least he was last season and I don't see how that much could change this time around given those stats.

Of course if any of the rumoured interest was seen through then it could put a different slant on things but at the current time we don't have anything to suggest that anything has been shown other than just the reported interest.

What has been interesting though is the reaction of the fans who are pretty much split down the middle as to whether we should sell Nathan this summer. Over 400 people voted in the latest site poll with the higher number suggesting that we should let Nathan go (assuming the right offer) although there was much support to keep Nathan because we do after all know what he is capable of at the top of his game

The final part of me is I think Nathan's indifferent form at the back end of the season is too fresh in people's memories - his link up play with Gylfi at the start of the season was brilliant and a key part in our excellent results at the front end of the season and that much should not be forgotten.

The results in the poll are as follows :-
