Reports today suggested that Spurs are the latest team to be linked with alleged Swans target Aleksandar Mitrovic although I suspect that our interest has dropped in the past few days following the capture of Eder from Sporting Braga.

According to Sportitalia, Mauricio Pochettino has made enquiriesfor the £8million man which will put him in a queue that is supposed to include Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Newcastle and Southampton as well as Roma in Italy.

Newspapers have previously reported that we got as far as the talking stage with the player but despite all the interest being rumoured not one side seemingly has made it to the stage of having an offer accepted for the player.

And now that we have Eder and Gomis on the books I think we can probably safely say that any interest we did have is now dead in the water and, on a day when we seem to be able to dispel rumours for the final time, then this one can be filed in the 'case closed' section of the website
