Change In Under 21 Management

Chris Llewellyn has been replaced as manager of our Under 21 side but is being reported by the Evening Post as being moved to being in charge of the Under-15s for next season with Neil Adams taking over at Under 21 level

Adams will be supported by Eric Ramsay who worked alongside Llewellyn last time around.

The Under 21s will compete next season in the Premier League Under 21 league where they will come up against the likes of Arsenal and Aston Villa

"Naturally, they are challenging fixtures," Adams said.

"But I think the style of football we play will suit category-one competition a lot more than the games we were involved in last season.

"It will be an adjustment for the players but its one where they will relish the opportunity to compete against some big clubs and good players.

"We also have six under-18 players as first-year professionals this season which means we will have a young squad at our disposal.

"It's a step up for them early on in their development, but the boys are looking forward to it and I'm confident they will do well.

"We have a trip to Holland coming up which will be beneficial and our pre-season programme as a whole is geared up ready for our opening league fixture against West Brom (on August 10)."
