Sigurdsson Hails Swans Resilience

A third successive win over Manchester United and a second where we have come from a goal behind tells you much about what you need to know about the Swans these days and Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has hailed the resilience of the Swans as they head into the international break in 4th place in the Premier League.

Sigurdsson scored the winner in the first of our three consecutive wins over the Red Devils but he is more happy with the fight that his team mates showed in coming from a goal down.

The result was the Swans second home win from the two games played in the league this season which is more vital as there are more and more stats that are showing that home advantage is diminishing at the moment as more teams win away from home.

Sigurdsson is now heading to join up with his Iceland team mates as they look to secure their place in France next summer after a great start to their own group matches.

And he goes in confident move thanks to the Swans five unbeaten games so far this season

“It was a really tough game because we didn’t play our best football,” said the Icelandic international.

“But I think it shows the resilience we have in our team that, even when we don’t play at our best, we can still win games.

“It’s important to have that, especially at home. I’m pretty sure that not many teams will want to come here.”
