Taylor - We Are More Like A Club Team

After Sunday's win over Manchester United there was no thought of a rest for Swans defender Neil Taylor whose attention turned straight away to the chance for him to create history with the rest of his Welsh team mates.

Wales will head out to Cyprus for Thursday's game before returning to Wales and a home game against Israel and the squad is all too well aware that two wins will seal their place in the finals of the European Championship finals next summer in France.

Assuming the Welsh squad complete the job that they have started so much over the past 12 months then they will become the first team to achieve that feat since 1958 and end the jinx of so many near misses over the years.

The squad though are clearly focused on the right things and not getting carried away with the dreams of what may be and that is right as Cyprus is likely to be a trickier tie than anyone is giving it credit for

"You would expect it is going to be tough out there but these are the challenges you face in international football," said Taylor.

"We are all professionals, we are all fit and have had a good pre-season and we need to put that to good use.

"The best sides learn to deliver in tough conditions and we have done that so far this campaign.

"It's always the same, we all enjoy each other's company and that is reflected in how we are performing as a squad.

"We are all keen to get here and join up when camp begins. There is a real bond between us, we are more like a club team than an international team if I am honest.

"We are not getting ahead of ourselves

"It is not done and dusted until everything is mathematically certain but it is in out own hands and we could not have asked for a great deal more than that when we started the campaign."
