The message from the Welsh camp ahead of tonight's qualifier is a simple one in that the focus is on the match against Cyprus and nobody is thinking of Israel until the first game is out of the way.

Wales go into tonight's game knowing that a win over Cyprus could see Sunday in Cardiff turn into the biggest party the football team has seen for a couple of generations.

Two straight wins in the games this week will see us earn a place in France next summer in what will be a first appearance at a major international finals since 1958.

An excellent start to their qualifying campaign sees Wales unbeaten in six games and three points clear at the top of the group with four games left to go. June's win over Belgium was one of the biggest results the nation had seen for some time and also ensure that they go into this game ranked in 9th place in the FIFA world rankings.

It would be easy for Wales to get carried away but there is none of that within the squad that appears to be set up perfectly under the management of Chris Coleman and the captaincy of Ashley WIlliams.

Speaking at the press conference on the eve of the game, Williams said: “The fact is we don’t look past the Cyprus game — and we haven’t done at all.

“I refuse to look at Israel and I wont let anyone else do it either. We’re just so focussed on Cyprus because we understand how big it is.

"it would be silly now to be thinking of Israel, Bosnia or anyone; Cyprus are a good team and if we start thinking about anyone else we will get hurt.

“People can say what they want but when it comes down to it we just do what is required to get the job done.

“We know there is expectation but we have come here to do a job and perform. As soon as we landed, we shut everything else out, locked into the game and worried about what we have to do.”
