Shelvey Plays Again
Wednesday, 9th Sep 2015 07:00 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

Jonjo Shelvey won his third England cap against Switzerland at Wembley as they secured their place as group winners with a 2-0 win taking their record to eight wins from eight,.

Shelvey has certainly done himself the world of good in this international break with two solid performances at the heart of the English midfield and it will be interesting to see if he retains his place next month when some of the injured midfielders will return.

It will be extremely tough for Roy Hodgson to leave him out of the squad given his two performances and Shelvey will definitely now be very much in the reckoning for a place in their squad next summer.

It has taken him long enough to be called up and it is brilliant for him as a player that he has grasped his chance and the better news for us is of course that he will need to retain those performance levels to keep his place and that will benefit us massively.

Well done Jonjo and now for Watford.
