Cork Backs Man United Star to Bounce Back

Jack Cork believes that Manchester United's Luke Shaw will bounce back from the broken leg that could have already ended his season with the defender out for at least six months due to the injury.

Cork knows Shaw from their time together at Southampton and believes that the injury couldn't have come at a worse time for the defender especially when you consider that Euro 2016 is looming large on the horizon.

Shaw broke his leg in the Champions League last week against PSV Eindhoven and has now started the rehabilitation process after arriving back in the UK

“I’ve been in touch with him, I sent him a message which he replied to, to say thanks,” said Cork.

“It is fair to say he has not been short of messages of support which I am sure has lifted his spirits. I am sure he will come back stronger than ever.

“He is one of the hardest workers I have ever come across in football so there is no. doubt he is going to come back and have a great career. He has the right mentality.

“The timing of it is a shame for him because he had started the season really well and he was looking like the guy they paid so much money to sign from Southampton.

“He looked strong and fast and he played really well in the game against us. He was also looking so strong for England with the Euros coming up but he has good people around him and he will be back for sure. I wish him the best.”
