Cork: No Regrets Over Southampton Exit
Saturday, 26th Sep 2015 06:11 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

Jack Cork will make his first appearance back at Southampton today following his move from the South Coast to South Wales back in the January transfer window.

There are few that can say that he made the wrong decision as he has been exceptional since he made that move and has featured in every single Premier League game for the Swans since and is being widely tipped for an England call up next month.

If he gets that call then it will simply reaffirm that he made the right decision to leave to seek first team football and I would certainly go as far as saying that Southampton's loss has been our gain.

Unsurprisingly the player himself has no regrets over the move and knows he made the right decision to join the Swans

“It was a very strange experience,” recalls Cork. “I had barely met anyone from Swansea and I still felt like Southampton were my club because I had literally only been to Swansea to sign all the paperwork and then I had gone back to start packing things up for the move.

“I was sat in a box in there with the wives and the families of the Southampton lads; it was a very strange feeling and I almost didn’t know how to react when Jonjo hit the winner. It was weird.

“But I didn’t have any regrets and I certainly don’t now. It was a tough decision to leave, a hard period in my career, but I made the right decision in the end and I have loved every minute of my time here.”
