Ash Happy With Swans Response

Ashley Williams was happy with the performance against Tottenham Hotspur at the Liberty and now heads off to focus on Wales and qualification for Euro 2016 with the confidence high again at the Swans after a pretty tough period.

The Swans put in a much better performance against Tottenham on Sunday, twice leading as they looked to secure their first win in the Premier League era against their visitors but ultimately had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Williams was playing in his 500th senior game on Sunday and as ever was a rock at the back of a Swansea defence he has been a near permanent part of since he signed for the club from Stockport.

He has called on his team mates to continue their excellent form when they return from the international break as well which is needed after a run of form that has seen us go five games without a win since the last one.

"As a group how we have responded this week has been brilliant - we have been really professional about it - I thought we were unlucky not to win," said Williams.

"We showed a real desire to bounce back from our performance from last week. This result can definitely offer us encouragement as we go into the international break.

"We can go away now and focus on our international games before coming back and looking to pick up where we left off here."
