De Boer Staying At Ajax

The Swans may have been linked with Ajax manager Frank De Boer but he is staying at Ajax at least until the summer according to the man himself.

As the Swans search for a permanent replacement for Garry Monk continues we were linked with De Boer at the end of last week when the manager admitted that he could be tempted by a move to the Premier League.

But that move is not going to happen at this point in time leaving the search to continue with stronger rumours around Swansea suggesting that we are about to give Alan Curtis the role until the end of the season.

The team have improved under Curtis with five points taken from five fixtures and the only two defeats being narrow ones at the two Manchester clubs. With important home games against Sunderland and Watford to come in January things could look very different in a few weeks time.

De Boer said “I will (finish) the season with Ajax.

"First you have to see what the plan is at a club and what I and the people I would take with me could add to it,” De Boer said.

“The last club I was linked with was Swansea City, I have had no contact with them at this time.

“But what if these people paint me a pretty picture that they are in that category of clubs with which I could do something beautiful? Like clubs such as Tottenham and Liverpool.

“Those are the sort of clubs with which you would want to work. But the most important thing would be the feeling I get.”
