Liverpool Midfielder Linked With Swans Return

Last week, Newcastle United took one former Liverpool midfielder off our hands but now, less than seven days later, we are being linked with a move for another one, albeit this time a former Swansea City player.

Joe Allen is being linked with a move back to the Liberty Stadium, possibly on a loan move, after failing to secure himself a regular spot in Jurgen Klopp's side.

Allen did score the equaliser against Arsenal at Anfield this week but it was a rare appearance for the former Swans man and that has increased speculation of his departure.

Allen is reported as wanting first team football, particularly with Euro 2016 just around the corner and it does look as if he will have to move away to make that happen.

The Sun reports that Swans Chairman Huw Jenkins "thinks the chance to go back to Swansea and be a big part of their fight for survival will swing the deal - despite Liverpool's injury crisis".

Despite many reports suggesting that the move could be a loan deal there is a suggestion that it could be a loan with a potential £8m deal that you would assume would be subject to us retaining our Premier League status in May.
