Rangel - We Performed Against All The Top Teams
Sunday, 15th May 2016 20:25 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

Angel Rangel looked back on wins over Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United as he reflected on the season that ended today with a 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the Liberty Stadium.

A near capacity crowd saw the Swans pull down the curtain on what will not be remembered for the best football we have ever played nor indeed for a host of reasons.

However, Rangel is right to remember that the Swans did indeed record league wins over the clubs mentioned above as well as away wins over both Arsenal and Everton - the latter for the first time ever in a league fixture.

And with the Swans securing thirteen of the last fifteen points available at the Liberty there is much for the team to look forward to next season if we can continue our strong form of the second half of the season into next term.

It was probably somewhat fitting that we closed today with a point against one of the pre-season title favourites as that is exactly how we started it even if both those sides did fail to live up to their expectations during the course of the season.

The Swans 12th placed finish made the table look somewhat respectable by the end of the campaign though and as Rangel said, when you look at the bigger picture it probably wasn't a bad season overall.
